Founder Rick Tupper was a frustrated pool owner who grew tired of tripping over retaining bolts and fighting spreading cracks in his pool deck. His solution to the 
problem resulted in The Octopus, his patented design for a pool cover safety frame.
Rick’s goal in developing The Octopus was to create a frame that would work with any of the pool safety covers currently available, but without the need to drill holes for anchor bolts or rivets.
Drawing on his construction background, Rick researched materials and structural design until he found the right combination of strength and simplicity.
“Our first priority will always be safety,” says Rick Tupper. “But that does not mean we have to give up convenience, or sacrifice the integrity of the pool deck. The Octopus solves the problem quickly, easily and safely.”
